We have taken enhanced health and safety measures to protect our venue guests.  However, there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the CDC, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.  By entering the venue, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19, and Venue disclaims any and all liability related thereto.

In accordance with the guidance and recommendations set forth by the CDC and local health officials, we respectfully request that the following guests not attend tonight’s event:

  • Guests who are feeling sick or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms (including fever, cough and shortness of breath);

  • Guests who have been diagnosed with, or believe to have contracted, COVID-19, unless you have had no fever for 72 hours (without use of medicine) and 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared;

  • Guests who have been in contact with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past 14 days; and

  • Guests who have traveled internationally in the past 14 days.

The Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center is committed to ensuring guests, clients and employees alike all experience the joys of events safely!

Additional steps the Heart of Oklahoma Expo is taking :

  • All staff members are wearing masks or face coverings.

  • Staff is required to wear gloves while cleaning, handling, preparing and serving food, and dealing with any first aid related incidents.

  • All employees are temperature screened with infrared thermometers daily.

  • Event promoters and vendors are also temperature screened upon arrival.

  • As of July 27th, 2020 the City of Shawnee passed a Mandatory Mask Mandate (Click Here for more details) which requires all attendees to wear a mask or face covering while in indoor public spaces. This includes all indoor events at our Expo Center.

  • Additional Hand Sanitizer stations have been positioned throughout the venue for event attendees.

  • Social distancing is being practiced at events through both event promoters and venue measures (i.e. reduced capacity, "tetris seating plans", signage encouraging proper spacing).

  • Regular cleaning and sanitation is performed in all restrooms and public spaces before, after and during events.

We enjoy the ability to open up our doors and entertain allowing events a space to continue to delight attendees, and we are doing everything in our power to apply safe and health conscious measures to stay open and give you all a place to enjoy live events again! We've stayed apart to come back together. Now we will all do our part to be together safely, be mindful of others, and enjoy events coming to our community at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center!
