At the Expo: February will be Phenomenal! 

February is going to be jam-packed here at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center. We can’t wait for a phenomenal month with our guests! Visitors can expect events such as livestock show, gun show, garden expo and more! Be sure to keep reading for details on the events of the month.

Join us for the highly anticipated 2018 Central District Livestock Show Feb. 1-3! Central District livestock exhibitors are all 4-H or FFA members in the Ag-Ed Central District, ages 9-18. The show will commence at noon on Thursday, Feb. 1 with the Market Lamb Show, followed by the Doe Show at 1 p.m. and the Wether Goat Show. Friday, Feb. 2 will see the Barrow Show at 10 a.m. and Saturday, Feb. 3 will feature the Heifer Show at 9 a.m. followed by the Prospect Steer Show and Market Steer Show. The Market Hog show will close out the Central District Livestock show starting 10 a.m. Saturday.
 
Gun enthusiasts will be at the G&S Gun Show for its return to the Expo Center Saturday, Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Show attendees can expect an expansive showcase of weaponry including pistols, holsters, long guns, knives and more. Admission to the G&S Gun Show is $8.
 
Race over to the Expo Center for your favorite rodeo event, the Central 4D Barrel Racers on Feb. 10! Exhibitions begin at 10 a.m. and classes commence at 2 p.m. Barrel racing events will continue on Sunday, Feb. 11 with church at 9 a.m., exhibitions at 10 a.m. and classes at 12 p.m.
 
Get ready to experience the genius of high school students at the 2018 Gladiator Robotics competition on Friday, Feb. 16 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Spectators will be able to watch high school participants compete for a chance to qualify for the world championships in Louisville, Kentucky. The competition requires teams of students to design and build a robot that will compete against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Come watch as STEM concepts are put to the test in this fast-paced and exciting event.

Join us as Pondliner presents the 2018 Water Garden Expo Feb. 20-23. Considered one of the landscaping industries top educational events, the Water Garden Expo will feature a two-day pond build, seminars and a trade show presenting more than 20 exhibitors. The event is free to industry professionals who register via WGExpo.com.
 
Jones Arena Productions will host team roping at the Expo Center Feb. 24-25. Roping will commence at noon on Saturday, Feb. 24. Event visitors on Sunday, Feb. 25 can enjoy church services beginning at 9 a.m. followed by roping at 10 a.m. Books will open one hour prior to roping times. Competitors will have an opportunity to earn buckles, trophy breast collars and saddles. Visitors can expect an exciting weekend, free of charge.
 
Come out to the annual Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show Feb. 27 through March 2 to support your local 4-H and FFA members! The show features Pottawatomie County 4-H and FFA members ages 9-18 and their nominated animals. Events are Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The show will conclude Friday, March 2 with an awards presentation and premium auction from 5 to 7 p.m.
 
Monkey Business will host its semi-annual consignment sale featuring everything that relates to children, teens and working moms March 1-3. Consignor drop-off is Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The public sales dates are Thursday and Friday, March 1-2 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All sales on Saturday will be half price.
